All our sockets are manufactured complete to prints using U.S. made 4140 alloy and steel hardened to Rc 51-53 Rockwell material certifications.  Torque testing on all lots is performed upon completion of heat treatment. Heat treat records are kept for an indefinite period for each order and all orders are subject to in-house inspection processes and record keeping. Each socket will be able to be traced by the lot numbers marked on it, which ties all this information together.

All sockets come ready to use. The socket will only require a drop of oil (we have found motor oil works for us) on the O-ring.

Stud length, primarily the number of threads past the nuts, is important to the operation of our sockets.  Too many threads past the nut could pick up the nut inside the socket leaving two nuts on the stud. A full nut of threads or 1-2 threads showing or less is ok.
